We’re excited to welcome you! Here’s what you can look forward to when you join us for worship.
At Steadfast, we encourage family worship by having children join their families in our Sunday worship service as part of the life of the church. To support this, we provide helpful resources for parents, a designated space for families who may need extra room or care during the service—with the service streamed live into the room—and ongoing discipleship that equips parents to raise their children in the fear and knowledge of the Lord.
In our worship service, prayer plays a central role in preparing our hearts and guiding our worship. We begin with a Scripture reading that reminds us of God’s character and our call to worship, followed by a prayer to focus our hearts. Throughout the service, prayers—whether of confession, adoration, thanksgiving, or supplication—help the congregation respond to God and prepare to receive His Word with humility.
The largest portion of our worship service is dedicated to studying the Bible through expository preaching. It is our time to listen to God and His authoritative Word in our lives. This method of preaching says that the biblical author’s original point should be the modern day preacher’s point. This is normally manifested by, but not limited to, a verse-by-verse approach to teaching the Scriptures.
At our church, congregational singing is a vital part of worship, where the whole body of believers joins together to praise God with their voices. We sing not just for entertainment, but as a means of teaching, encouraging, and reminding one another of the truth of God’s Word. Songs are chosen for their biblical depth, doctrinal clarity, and ability to point our hearts to Christ, helping the congregation worship God in spirit and truth while strengthening our unity as His people.
After our formal worship service, we continue to worship God through fellowship, gathering together to meet, welcome, and connect with both members and guests. This time often includes sharing a meal, providing opportunities for accountability, catching up, and serving one another. As Christians are called to be personally invested in each other’s lives, these moments of fellowship help cultivate deeper, healthier relationships among believers while creating a warm and welcoming environment for first-time visitors.
We are committed to equipping God’s people through the study of Scripture, focusing on the core beliefs of the Christian faith, sound theology, biblical understanding, and everyday Christian living. Our Equipping Hour takes place during the fellowship time, with schedules and topics announced by the elders. On certain days, this time will be devoted to small-group discussion centered on Scripture and shared accountability.
Children’s ministry takes place during the Equipping Hour, which follows the main worship service and a time of fellowship. Lessons are typically 30–40 minutes in length, and the ministry remains mindful of holidays, summer schedules, and school break times when planning and organizing classes.
