Steadfast Community Church began in 2026, but its history testifies of God’s faithfulness in bringing two churches together.
Both churches had their respective histories. Pillar Bible Church had existed for 30 years and Emmaus Community Church for 13 years. In 2026, in God’s providence, the two churches decided to merge together to become Steadfast Community Church.
Through a shared desire to love God’s people and love the lost in the Los Angeles area with the Word of God, the two churches felt that by coming together there would be a greater effectiveness and effort to achieve that purpose.
What began as a friendship between Pastor Micah and Pastor Ian at The Master’s Seminary in 2014, followed by a lighthearted joke around 2021 about serving together in the same church, in God’s providence, that joke became reality as He knit not only their hearts together, but also the hearts of their two churches.
The name “Steadfast” comes from 1 Corinthians 15:58 where it says: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord”.
We desire to be a church that is not only rooted in the Scriptures, but a church that is faithful in doing the work that God has set before us.
We pray that God would use Steadfast Community Church for His glory, the good of His people, and the spread of the gospel!
